You hear all these “you’re not a real fan unless” and it lists a hundred things, but I met a dude today who saw my Deadpool pin and asked what my favorite story arc was, and I explained that while I loved Deadpool, I was new to Marvel (I only really got into it a year and a half ago) and hadn’t been able to find a lot of the comics. Instead of making a face or a derogatory comment, he just offered to send me all the stuff he had. That is a true fan.

Anonymous said: ok heres the thing. ur the only person i follow who actually is offended when people tag 'trashy' characters as trash. the entire rest of the fandom does it, so it makes sense that people will tag it that way. its literally not an offense meant for you, its just the way fandom perceives characters and we alllll know its not true those characters arent trash but its said lovingly and as a joke. so if ur so upset about it the only thing i can suggest is not posting bc ppl will continue to tag.

asskawa:

HERE IT IS. See now THIS is a message of a lifetime. This is the message that I have just been DYING to see. Literally where do I even begin with this. First, you sent me this message starting off with “ok heres the thing”, like you’re setting some ground rules for me or something, like you’re going to teach me a life lesson that will change my life, because you’re so irritated by the way I choose to perceive things, but it doesn’t stop there, then you act like I am the ONLY, the ONE person out of all the fans in the world who doesn’t look forward to someone tagging my things as “trash”, but it doesn’t stop there, no, things like “fucking garbage” I have seen, “gross”, “disgusting”. God I get SO many messages that tell me “Trash is a term of endearment” I delete those messages by the way, because why would I even have to answer to that. I have said SO many times that I get it. I get it that you don’t mean to offend the artist when you tag their things as “fucking garbage” because that doesn’t even SOUND OFFENSIVE AT ALL IN ANY WAY. “IT refers to the character in the drawing” Oh what? Wow! You’re right! That character that I absolutely love so much IS trash you’re right that’s why I drew him because I hate him!!! -SAID NO ONE EVER I can go on and on about this but it’s such a waste of time. AT LEAST once a month someone will try to argue with me about this, I know this because I get a string of messages telling me the same thing. People always act like I’m the only person in the world who doesn’t like to see things like that on their posts. “So if ur so upset about it the only thing i can suggest is not posting" Oh my god. Niiice. Honestly if anyone else has something to say, either do it now to get it all out on how much it pisses you off that I get offended by this, or take it somewhere else. Actually, just don’t even send me things like this anymore.

NYPD officer pictured ‘putting seven-months pregnant woman into a chokehold for illegally grilling outside her apartment’

An advocacy group has released images which claim to show an NYPD officer putting a seven-months pregnant woman into a chokehold for illegally grilling on the sidewalk in front of her apartment.
NYPD officers have been banned from using the chokehold since 1993, but an officer can be seen in the pictures wrapping his arm around 27-year-old Rosan Miller’s neck in the Saturday incident.
Her young daughter is also in the pictures, watching the arrest unfold.

Illegally grilling on the sidewalk! What a hardened, dangerous criminal! And I bet that little girl now has a very solid grasp on who she can trust and what’s ok to do to women and/or people who are physically weaker than you!

One thing I often wondered was, ‘Where the hell is Ren whenever Aoba is in trouble?’
And this scene answers that.
Whenever Aoba suspects there may be trouble, his first instinct is to protect Ren; switch him off, and hide him. His first thought is not for himself but for this irreplaceable, special partner.
That is incredibly revealing of Aoba’s priorities.
